Witu is a remote, arid area in Lamu County, where access to food, learning resources, and basic necessities is limited. Many families struggle to meet daily needs, while learners lack books, school support, and essential items such as clothing and sanitary wear.
The need was real but distant. The challenge was to help people connect emotionally with Witu and see that meaningful support was possible even from afar.
The campaign was built around a simple statement:
“I am holding the rope for Witu.”
The Solution was a month long campaign combining branding, visual storytelling, and an e-commerce platform, enabling people to support the cause through both donations and branded merchandise.
The campaign mobilized a community, raising about KSh 500,000 and collecting essential donations transforming awareness into food, learning materials, and real hope for families and learners in Witu.
